Notice Book exists to hold some of the most personal things you’ll ever write down — what you love about the people closest to you. Here’s exactly what we do with that, in plain words.
What we keep
Your email address, so you can sign in. The names and notes you write about people. The times you wrote them. Your phone number, only if you turn on text reminders. A push-notification token for your phone, only if you turn on push. That’s the list.
What we don't do
We don’t read your notes. We don’t sell anything about you. We don’t show ads. We don’t train anything on what you write. We don’t share your notes with the people you write about, or with anyone else, ever.
About the people you write about
They aren’t users. They don’t have accounts, they can’t see the app, and nothing is sent to them unless you export it and hand it over yourself. If someone contacts us asking whether they’re in your Notice Book, we won’t say. Please write about people kindly; it’s your archive, and your responsibility.
Who else touches the data
Notice Book runs on Lovable Cloud (a managed Supabase database) in the United States. Reminders go out through your phone’s push service, and — if you turn them on — through Twilio for texts and Resend for email. Each of these sees only what it needs to deliver a message, never the contents of your notes. We have no other vendors.
Deleting things
A single note can be edited but not deleted on its own. That’s deliberate: it protects a year of honest writing from one bad evening. Everything larger is yours to remove. Delete a person and every note, reminder and export about them is permanently gone. Delete your account and everything is gone — notes, people, settings, your email. Deletions happen immediately and are cleared from backups within 30 days. There is no soft-delete we quietly keep.
Exports and backups
Exports are built for you, stored privately, and served through links that expire in an hour. If you turn on monthly backups, a copy of your archive is emailed to the address you choose; that copy is yours and outside our control once it lands. Our own backups exist only to recover from failure and follow the same 30-day rule above.
Security
Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your data is fenced to your account at the database level, not just in the app. Sign-in is by emailed link, so there’s no password to leak.
Age
Notice Book is for adults. You can write about your children; they can’t use it themselves.
Changes
If this page changes in any way that reduces a promise above, we’ll email you before it takes effect.

This is written to be understood, not to hide anything. A lawyer will tighten the wording before we open to the public; the promises won’t change.
